1. On 22nd Of January, Pope Benedicts 16 met with Kiko who is the founder of the Neocatechumenal Way, the other international leaders Carmen Hernandez and Mario Pezzi. Also in attendance were 5 cardinals and 50 bishops. During the meeting, the Pope announced that 18 Neocatechumenal families would be sent to places that have been 'dechristianized'.

2. In the audience with 70 representatives of the Almo Collegio Capranica, a seminary from the diocese of Rome that has 555 years of history, Pope Benedict 16 called for seminarians support for the new evangelization.

3. During the meeting with American bishops during their ad limina visit, Pope Benedict spoke to them on politics, secularism, and Christian culture expressing his concerns over hostility toward Christianity in US.

4. Benedict XVI spoke about the unity of Christians during the general audience in the Vatican's Paul VI Audience Hall on Wedneday 18. It marked the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a worldwide fellowship of over 300 Churches that try to find a common witness.
